We understand this is a deeply personal moment. Please know that we will treat your loved one with the utmost care and respect every step of the way. Follow these simple shipping instructions to safely send cremated remains to us using the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Cost: ~ $35–$50+  

Must go to United States Post Office and hand the box to a clerk.

📦 Step 1: Use the Correct Shipping Service

Cremated remains must be shipped using:

USPS Priority Mail Express  

This is the only service approved for shipping cremated remains in the United States.

🧱 Step 2: Prepare the Inner Container

Place the cremated remains in a sealed, sift-proof container.  

If using an urn, ensure it is:

Securely closed and placed inside a plastic bag for extra protection.

📦 Step 3: Cushion and Double-Box

Wrap the container in bubble wrap or padding.  

Place it inside a sturdy inner box.  

Then place that box inside a strong outer shipping box.

👉 Nothing inside should move when the box is gently shaken.

📬 Step 4: Use the USPS Cremated Remains Kit (Recommended)

You may order a free shipping kit from USPS (Kit 139), which includes:

Proper box  

Cushioning materials  

Official “Cremated Remains” labels.

🏷️ Step 5: Label the Package Clearly

Attach the “Cremated Remains” label on the outside of the box.  

Make sure your return address and our delivery address are clearly written.

📄 Step 6: Include Important Information Inside

Place a note inside the package with:

Your name and phone number  

Your email address  

The name of your loved one  

Any special instructions (if applicable).

🏤 Step 7: Bring to the Post Office

Take the package directly to a USPS counter.  

Do not place it in a drop box.  

Request: Tracking (included) and Signature confirmation (recommended).

🛡️ Optional: Add Insurance

You may insure the shipment (up to $5,000).

Please note: Insurance covers the container and shipping—not sentimental value.
